How Do I Get A Library Card

It’s easy to get a Delaware Library Card.

Here’s how:

Delaware Residents

All Delaware residents are eligible for a Delaware library card issued through their local public library. To register, just complete a registration form and present it with a photo ID at your local Delaware public library. If you don’t have a Delaware photo ID, please contact your local library for card registration requirements. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign for the card.

Delaware Non-Residents

Delaware non-residents may apply for a non-resident card. Simply submit the registration form and a fee to a Delaware public library.

Non-Resident Property Owners

If you own property in Delaware, but live in another state, you are still eligible to receive a Delaware library card. Please contact your local public library for registration requirements.

Students

Students who wish to use Delaware academic and school libraries must have a valid student ID for library card registration.
